Best presentation prize at the Practical Applications of NMR in Industry Conference (2017 Worldwide

Congratulation to Will Kew, who was awarded the Best Presentation Prize for his talk “Whiskyomics: Advanced spectroscopic, spectrometric and chemometric characterisation of Scotch Whisky” at the 2017 Worldwide Distilled Spirit Conference held in Glasgow 29th May - 1st June (http://www.wdsc2017.org/).

In his work, Will has developed a toolkit of spectroscopic, spectrometric, and chemometric methods for the analysis of Scotch Whisky. Whiskyomicscan be used to discriminate between blend and malt whiskies, maturation wood types, and model authenticity of Whisky.
